This morning talking to a friend – I was having a bit of a moment. My son turning 18 a couple of months ago and partially moving out has had it’s way with me recently and not in the good, fun way that we like.
Anyway, I told him I was feeling a little lost and directionless since I don’t have a kid around to do things with and plan for. And that I’d binge-watched season 3 of House of Cards over the weekend.
First he laughed (my friends are awesome like that).
And he said something I really needed to hear. He said, “Briana, you’re one of the most on purpose, successful people I know. You’re scheduled out through the end of the year and beyond. I’ve seen those plans. And those plans rock!”
He didn’t shame me or make me feel bad, he just made it clear that despite my feelings, I am being successful. And that success is because of the work that I’m doing and teaching. And he’s right. I’ve been working both harder, and smarter in the last couple of years than I ever have and it’s paid off. I’ve done it by getting tons of support in lots of areas and really diving into planning, clarity and getting into massive action.
Today I’m passing on a few opportunities to take action that will lead you further down the path of your own success and I hope that you’ll pick at least one of them and go for it. Taking inspired actions is one of the keys to having what you want, after all.
And of course, I’d love to hear how it goes!
